Tapping Our Own Potential
That's a wrap! Last week, we reached a pinnacle moment when the Tap the Potential Team not only launched my new book, How to Hire the Best: The Contractor's Ultimate Guide to Attracting Top Performing Employees, but I am so proud to say that because of my amazing A-Player team, we reached INTERNATIONAL #1 AMAZON BEST SELLER STATUS! This is a bit about what it takes to come together as an underdog and come out on top.
While our work isn't done—we want this book to reach every entrepreneur—I think it's important to pause for a minute to showcase a little about my team. This is a testimonial from one of our team members, Cara Parish, which I believe exemplifies a bit about our book launch strategies. More than that, what it took for us to push through.

Our statistics have only seen further growth since launch day. Soon after we met our goal of reaching #1, Cara posted this on our Ambassador Facebook group page:
“Sabrina Starling is officially an Amazon best-selling author in multiple countries and in multiple categories. She’s in the top five in seven categories in four countries and she’s in the top 1,000 overall. She's in the top 500 of all the books in the entire Kindle store in other countries. It would be unfair to simply say she’s now an Amazon best-selling author because what she really did was run up the ladders of Amazon internationally in 48 hours. That’s not a thing that a lot of people do, not with being 100 percent self-published, not without a ridiculous launch budget, not without some sneaky practices of buying reviews or all the other questionable tactics people use.”
This is a unique win for a couple of scrappy little teams and ambassadors who had the determination and were committed to making life better for all of us, entrepreneurs.
Cara continues, “That’s not another ‘Amazon Best-Seller' badge. That’s a community believing in something so strongly they do what it takes to make change happen.” When asked to elaborate on what it took for us to get to where we are, Cara offered this:
“It was crucial that the Ambassadors be committed to not only sharing the book but leaving reviews. We intentionally planned a giveaway of the Kindle version of the book on the day of the launch so that all those ambassadors reviews came flooding in as Amazon themselves promoted the book. That meant the reviews incentivized Amazon readers who had otherwise never heard of this book or Dr. Sabrina to download this brand new book in the Kindle store.”
“We had a primary launch strategy and a secondary strategy. In the primary strategy, we leaned heavily on the selection of one category on Amazon that was more niche and we anticipated doing well in. In the secondary strategy, we selected another that was very large and general that would be harder to rank in. This gave us multiple tiers of success. It allowed for the goal of Amazon best-seller while creating the opportunity for bestseller in multiple categories including the larger general category.”

Cara continued, “Henry was a monster but he said this one thing…. this one thing that was true and right and meant something. I can honestly say my team manages a lot of clients. We see a lot of teams. As a side effect, we see a lot of flaws in company culture that cause issues that marketing can’t fix. When I met Sabrina Starling I knew that wouldn’t be a problem and her team has surpassed the best I could’ve hoped for.
