[FAQ] 4 Week Vacation Retreat

We've had a lot of curiosity going on about the 4 Week Vacation™ and our next Retreat. I wanted to take a few minutes to answer some of the questions that have been coming up:

When is the next Retreat?

March 7 and 8, 2019

Do I need to have taken a 4 Week Vacation to sign up for the next retreat?

NO! Signing up for the next retreat is your opportunity to “stake a claim” on your 4 Week Vacation. It creates incredible accountability for making it happen because you will have a group of us backing you, cheering you on, and helping you overcome the obstacles as you take the steps to make it happen.

A public declaration is one of the highest forms of accountability.

When do I have to have taken my 4 Week Vacation if I sign up for the Retreat?

Anywhere from 1 year to 18 months from the time you make the 4 Week Vacation Pledge. We will help you plan and get your business in order. You don't need to know the dates of your 4 Week Vacation when you sign up for the Retreat.

In my own experience with taking a 9 week maternity leave several years ago, I learned that a shorter time frame heightens urgency and makes it happen! Once I put my claim on the 9 week maternity leave I really wanted, I had about 5 months to make it happen. YOWZA! I made it happen. It wasn't perfect. That will likely happen for you, too.

The point is to make it happen, learn and keep improving from there.

Can I break up my 4 Week Vacation into several shorter vacations?

No.

The purpose of a 4 Week Vacation is to get your business through 1 entire business cycle without your direct involvement. Most businesses complete an entire business cycle in 1 month's time (i.e., leads generated, sales made, services delivered and payment is collected). Doing so breaks the cycle of codependency your business has on you to run. It demonstrates your business can run without you.

Once you accomplish this, you have real FREEDOM. Plus, you have added tremendous value to your business should you intend to sell it at some point.

Not to mention, psychologically, we need a REAL break from our businesses. We need to unplug!

In the words of Mike Bruno, one of our 4 Week Vacation Pledges:

“I deserve it.”
“My family deserves it.”

How do I pay for a 4 Week Vacation?

We help you implement Profit First in your business so you will have money to take a 4 Week Vacation.

What if my spouse can't take a 4 Week Vacation?

Stay-cations are an option…
The 4 Week Vacation is a vacation from your business for 4 weeks. You don't have to travel all or part of the time. We do recommend you are completely out of contact with the business for 4 weeks. You might choose to travel for 2 weeks and stay home the other 2 weeks.

Do I have to wait for the Retreat to get help with my business?

No! We want to help you NOW and support you throughout the process of preparing your business for a 4 Week Vacation.

What is the 4 Week Vacation book about?

The 4 Week Vacation book has been a dream of mine for several years. Ever since The 4 Hour Workweek came out, I have heard Main Street, brick and mortar business owners say a 4 Hour Workweek is not a reality for them. I KNOW a 4 Week Vacation is possible. I have clients and colleagues who've done it. I've done it. I want to help every business owner who has been chained to their business for years finally break free.

I am writing the 4 Week Vacation right now, documenting the reality of what goes on in a business from the moment you commit to taking a 4 Week Vacation, through the time you make it happen and return from the vacation.

Our retreat participants get to be in the book.

The longest I've ever been away from my business is 1 week and I've been in continual communication while I was away. How do I go from 1 week to 4 weeks?

We will show you how to set up “Vacation Tests” of your business so that you identify and troubleshoot problem areas. You will lengthen the time you are away over time so that you gradually build up to taking your 4 Week Vacation.

Who attends the Retreat?

The majority of our participants are alumni from the 2018 Retreat (That's right! It was such a good experience, they are coming back. That speaks volumes.) Plus, there are a few who missed the 2018 Retreat due to other obligations and eagerly claimed their set for 2019 as soon as registration opened.

Our group is a group of entrepreneurial small business owners with established businesses. We are life-long learners eager to grow and improve, stretching outside our comfort zone, eagerly soaking up the experiences of others.

We love seeing one another's “light bulbs go on” and seeing real implementation happen in our businesses as a result of what happens at the Retreat (we stay in touch throughout the year). The Retreat is not just an even over a few days event. It's an on-going experience to propel you to your goals.

What industries are the participants in?

Out of the 15 already registered, we have the following industries represented:
building and remodeling, accounting, bookkeeping, financial services, floral, garage door, chiropractic, legal, landscaping…

It's a wide cross-section of industries. The commonality is these are all established businesses run by entrepreneurial small business owners who are at the top of their game. This is a modest group, and most would not tell you this themselves, but their peers regard them as the movers and shakers in their industry.

Much of the value comes from this being a cross-industry experience.A Harvard study (2014) cites the value of cross-industry masterminding for problem-solving and innovating. Cross-industry masterminding, at this high level, is a rare experience.

Where is the Retreat?

I open my home up to our Retreat participants. We hold the retreat at the Entrepreneurs Retreat Center in Central Louisiana. You will stay at the Hotel Bentley and we provide transportation to the Retreat Center.

How much is the investment?

How much is it worth to you be able to take a 4 Week Vacation, not just once, but year after year, or several times a year, year after year?

The full Retreat Registration is $7997. This is an all-inclusive Retreat. We cover your meals, transportation and hotel. All you do is purchase your plane ticket.

The Early Bird Registration is just $5997.

Right now, the SUPER Early Bird Pricing is in effect (this is not advertised on the website). So, you have till this Saturday to claim your spot at just $4997.

Can I think about it?

Sure. Keep in mind, there are only 5 spots left and we have 8 people thinking about it.
UPDATE: As of this morning, we only have 4 spots left.

The retreat happens once a year. Do you really want to wait until 2020 or longer? (we always give first dibs to our alumni, their friends and our current clients. 2020 could fill before we open registration to non-alumni).

Do I have to pay in full when I sign-up?

No, we offer payment plan options.

I want in. What's my next step?

Send an email to Sabrina@tapthepotential.com. Include your phone number and we will call you to discuss it further to make sure you are a good fit to join us. There is an application we will ask you to fill out.

Cheers!
Sabrina
