The Butterfly Effect
You've probably heard about the butterfly effect. At Tap the Potential, we are absolutely convinced that when we #leadwithlove, while finding the motivation to Be A Gift From Our Gifts, we are encouraging others to do the same. At a time like this (the pandemic of Covid19), and through any major crisis, if we can look beyond ourselves, we can make a BIG impact on our families, our teams, our business, and our community.
From Wikipedia: In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.
I find it interesting how many inspiring stories come through in a time of crisis, from chaos. Do you trust that you can be the beginning of a ripple effect of good things to come? What happens if you don't participate? You don't even have a chance to make a difference. I can think of many cliches for this instance like you can't win if you don't try. And, let me be clear. This isn't an act of ego or expectation. This is an act of service and self-confidence. True trust in yourself that you matter, and what you bring to the table, makes all the difference in the world.
Be A Gift
I'm listening to so many entrepreneurs right now—so many of you are struggling with entrepreneurial burnout. Now, I get it. We can't always be positive and certain of things, especially in a time like this. BUT! We can make a difference. We can show up. We can keep an eye on our vision. And, we all have innate talents. Likely, we started our businesses because of those talents, passions, and interests. Am I right?
Don't lose sight of yourself during this crisis. To lead positively takes a lot of energy. I, for one, am convinced that we need to put our oxygen masks on first and give ourselves a little grace, space, and time (#veggiesfirst). Now, once your mind is clear from that long walk, or nap, or yoga (or nibble of chocolate), what is that inner voice telling you? If you show up “in service” of others—yes! even when you aren't sure you have anything left to give—that's truly serving. It's the empathy but doesn't need to feel like a sacrifice, that will fuel you.
Uniquely You
You have an innate talent that drives you. Deep down, it's there. Where it all started. You've had that vision of your life for some time. Don't let go of that. Sure, we have to adjust during this time. Perhaps we need to have a new pace for the plan. And, perhaps this time and space in a new reality exist so that you can recenter, refocus, and get back to your roots. Perhaps you are in this because the world needs you to show up. Only you have your unique set or combination of experiences, expertise, environment, dreams, talents, passions, people,
This is your time to shine. Be A Gift of Your Gifts
